Terms of Use

These conditions govern access to Jackson County Criminal History. Reading a page or using a search feature means that you accept them. If you disagree, stop using the resource.

NO FCRA USE. This private resource has no government affiliation. It and its advertising partners do not provide tools for credit, employment, insurance, housing, or any other decision regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). Its purpose is to identify Jackson County and Tennessee record sources. It is neither a private investigation service nor a consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This privately operated reference resource is independent of all government offices. It does not store official records, perform government checks, retrieve files, or submit forms for a visitor.

Its content points to the Jackson County sheriff, local criminal courts, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Tennessee Sex Offender Registry, and outside research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

Use is permitted only if you agree not to:

  • Break any federal, state, or local law while using this site
  • Use information you find here to stalk, harass, or threaten anyone
  • Base hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions on content from this site
  • Try to break into our systems or gain access you are not supposed to have
  • Run bots, scrapers, or automated tools against our pages
  • Do anything that slows the site down or blocks other people from using it

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

No information obtained here or through a linked tool may be used to threaten, stalk, intimidate, harass, or discriminate. Misuse can violate the law. Tennessee Sex Offender Registry data is published for public safety awareness and never authorizes retaliation, vigilantism, blacklisting, or housing discrimination.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and do not create consumer, credit, or background reports. Our advertising partners do not turn this resource into an authorized screening service. Information from these pages or linked tools may not be used to:

  • Decide whether to hire or fire someone
  • Screen potential renters or housing applicants
  • Judge creditworthiness or set insurance premiums
  • Determine who qualifies for licenses, permits, or government programs
  • Do anything else that falls under FCRA rules

A purpose regulated by the FCRA requires an appropriate official process or a compliant consumer reporting provider.

5. No Legal Advice

General descriptions of Jackson County records are not legal advice. Only a licensed Tennessee attorney can advise how a charge, warrant, conviction, or expungement law affects a particular person.

6. No Warranties

All content is provided "as is," without a promise that:

  • The information here is accurate, complete, or current at any given time
  • The site will stay up and running without interruptions
  • Our pages are free of errors, bugs, or security holes
  • Results from our partner search tools will be thorough or accurate

Charges, outcomes, sealing, and expungement can change a record after publication. Gaps may occur. No text here is an official statement from a sheriff, court, or government body.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

A link may lead to a sheriff, court, state agency, legal organization, or outside service. We do not control that destination, its data practices, price, accuracy, or availability. Its own terms apply.

8. Intellectual Property

Jackson County Criminal History or its partners own the text, graphics, logos, and code. Copying, modifying, distributing, or adapting that work requires prior written permission.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the fullest lawful extent, we disclaim liability for harm tied to use of these pages, including reliance on content from this resource or a linked service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to protect and hold us harmless from claims arising from your use or violation of these terms, including related costs and legal fees.

11. Governing Law

Tennessee law governs these terms. Any related dispute must be brought in a court located in Tennessee.

12. Changes to These Terms

Revised terms become effective when the new version is posted here.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be restricted or ended at any time, with or without advance notice.

14. Severability

If one provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the rest remain effective. The affected part will be narrowed only as needed.
